La Fontana Italian Restaurant
One of the longest running Italian restaurants in Blackpool, family owned for 25 years. Winner of Blackpool Tourism Award’s “Restaurant of the Year”, and “Taste Lancashire Quality Award”. The restaurant has a courtyard theme with a “twinkling” night sky and a fountain which gives it the name.
Sapori
Another Italian restaurant serving what it calls classic Italian food with a modern twist. The two owners, Vincenzo and Ignazio are descended from two large Italian families and welcome the whole family: children’s menu and vegetarian options available. A large “Con Amici” table caters for larger groups.
West Coast Rock Café
Open every day from 12.00 pm until “very late” this is the place to be for Tex-Mex food. Chicken, pasta, pizza, great steaks and burgers, and juicy barbecued ribs, and owned by the same family since 1987. Fully air-conditioned and licensed.
Terra Nostra
Another Italian restaurant (Blackpool seems to be full of them) this specialises in Sardinian food including pizzas in its’ small and “laid back” dining room. Situated on Red Bank Road in Bispham, it has a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.
Yorkshire Fisheries
The oldest chip shop in Blackpool, it crossed the Pennines to provide local residents with the finest haddock – delivered daily – and cod frozen at sea to retain its’ freshness and flavour, which is then filleted and cut to size in house. There is also swordfish, tuna, plaice, halibut (our favourite), scampi, and salmon and herb fishcakes. What more could you ask for?
