Pleased to Meet You, High Bridge Street
This swanky bar has been supplying the people of Newcastle with the finest gin, craft beers, renowned wines and delicious cocktails for 3 years. In this time, it has gone from strength to strength, and is easily one of our favourite bars in the country, never mind just Newcastle!
They also have a great restaurant, led by Head Chef David Kennedy, which consists of the finest produce from across the North East, including their famous Sunday Dinners.
Our Favourite Tipple: Their signature cocktail, aptly-named ‘Pleased to Meet You’ is really tasty. With Gabriel Boudier Saffron Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, Licor 43 and DiSaronno Amaretto, what’s not to love?

The Botanist, Monument Mall
Stepping into this bar feels as if you are stepping into an enchanted forest with an incredibly magical ambience. With a huge selection of botanical cocktails, craft beers and ales, Champagne and wine, a visit to The Botanist is an absolute necessity. Head out onto the terrace for a great view of Grey Street.
Their food, inspired by the deli, rotisserie and BBQ is simply delicious.
Our Favourite Tipple: The highly-Instagrammable ‘Gin featuring Strawberry and Cucumber’ is served in a watering can. Yep, you read it right - an actual, full-sized watering can! Obviously meant for sharing. (Or maybe not if you’re feeling extra thirsty.)

Lola Jeans, Market Street
Just a few minutes from the Theatre Royal, Lola Jeans is in a great location. It’s a truly original bar with a contemporary twist - think chandeliers, exposed-brick walls and floral murals. It’s vast cocktail and wine menu has something for all tastebuds.
The American-inspired food here is absolutely second to none and their dishes are ideal for sharing amongst friends.
Our Favourite Tipple: ‘The Fog on the Tyne’ which combines Genever, Newcastle Brown Ale reduction, cinnamon bitters and cherry smoke.

As You Like It, Archbold Terrace
Set across 3 sprawling floors and with four stunning bars, As You Like It is one of the trendiest bars in Newcastle with the best atmosphere. With mismatched furniture and eclectic trinkets all over the place, it’s incredibly quirky vibe makes the place feel really welcoming, whether you fancy a quiet pint or want to sip on cocktails and enjoy the live entertainment.
If you want a light bite or an evening meal, the food here is phenomenal. Be sure to sample something from the Sharing & Grazing menu!
Our Favourite Tipple: Frangelico, Baileys, Kahlua and cream are all mixed to create the ‘Toblerone’ cocktail - it miraculously tastes exactly like the real thing!

Florita’s, Collingwood Street
Florita’s is a fun cocktail bar with a tropical Miami theme and great vibe - you could easily spend all night here! Drink cocktails out of real coconuts, pineapples and watermelons here, enjoy bubbles, craft beer and the finest spirits. Listen to the biggest anthems and dance into the early hours!
Our Favourite Tipple: Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries and mashed together with a mix of of Brugal Blanco, Brugal Anejo, Goslings Black Seal, Wray & Nephew Over Proof rum, lime juice and pineapple to create the ‘Beach Bum Zombie’. Delicious but lethal.
