Kelvingrove Café
Set in Argyle Street, this emulates a modern European Grand Café serving food sourced on Arran and wines from small vineyards. Regular wine tastings are held. A team of skilled bartenders will mix your favourite cocktail. They specialise in amaro and fortified wine.
Brel
This Belgian style café/bar has what it claims is the most awesome beer garden in Glasgow, and it just might be right. Eat and drink in the conservatory overlooking the lane and garden, so you get garden dining whatever the weather is doing.
Chinaski’s
Serving food until 10.00 pm every night, Chinaski’s offers a wide range of drinks, with music by DJ’s such as Alan Hushpuppy, Ewan Chambers, Larry Dee, and Craig Moog. They also serve bourbon and have a cigar garden.
Hillhead Bookclub
If you are after something that’s a bit out of the ordinary, this place is a lot out of the ordinary. Cocktails, strawberry mojitos, ping-pong, and retro computer games. On Sunday there is a vintage fair, a sewing club on Tuesdays (yes, really!) and bingo on Wednesdays - and more.
Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn
Just 2 minutes from the King’s Theatre, you can relax in a posh environment and enjoy what it claims is Glasgow’s finest Thai food. Wander downstairs to the basement bar and you can savour a tropical cocktail served in a genuine ceramic Tiki mug while you listen to the music.
