Revolution Blackpool
What a big bar this is! Right in the town centre and on the Promenade with superb sea views, this is the place for relaxing after you have shopped until you drop. A strict dress code of smart/casual means that you won’t see hoodies, baseball caps, trainers, sportswear, or work wear – what a change from a lot of places!
Walkabout
Part of an Australian chain (the name’s a bit of a giveaway, isn’t it?) it’s a great place to meet your mates and sit and watch your favourite sports. 2-4-1 burgers every Monday, and book a booth for your birthday and you’ll get a free £20 bar tab. Why wouldn’t you?
Pump & Truncheon
Winner of “Pub of the Year” by Camra for Blackpool, it’s now in the running for the region! They’ve always claimed to serve the best beer in town, and now it seems that they do. Live bands, and it’s also dog friendly.
Scrooge’s
Noted as the cheapest and friendliest bar in town. That’s why it’s called Scrooge’s – ‘cos it’s cheap. Also one of the favourite student hangouts. Drinks on Thursday are £2.00. One reviewer says “Try the mighty Firebucket – Fiery whisky heaven!”
